Write for us
Grand Sporting Life welcomes pitches about the equipment, materials, grounds, care and traditions surrounding sport. Send a short proposal through the Contact page; a pitch is not a promise of publication.
What we want to read
Strong contributions explain one well-defined subject for a general reader: how a piece of equipment is constructed, what a material changes in use, why a sporting space is arranged a certain way, or how an object or custom acquired its place in sport. We welcome clear comparisons, background pieces and carefully bounded practical explainers.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the working title, the central question, the category it might fit and what a reader will understand by the end. Note the main sources or materials you would use, any relevant limitations, and whether the idea relies on testing, access or personal experience. Do not claim testing or access that has not happened.
Before sending
We prefer original work in plain English, with claims that can be supported and advice that does not ask readers to take on hazardous repairs or specialist work. Include a brief description of your relevant experience without implying credentials you do not hold. Proposals are sent through the Contact page.
